Policymakers in North Carolina are working right now on the budget, determining how to use both the federal COVID relief dollars and state funds. We must make sure that they prioritize early education and recognize the value of the early childhood workforce – before, during, and after COVID-19. It’s long past time for child care teachers to earn the professional compensation and benefits they deserve.
